CEEC instructors (and friends) at Ocean Park but who is who?????????????
Anything for a quiet life
25 OctIt has been an unbelievable week – absolutely non-stop.
I think I mentioned that we had rats because I was a little over-whelmed looking after all the eating on my own. Much as I love a good rat feast, there are limits. The humans expected me to get rid of the rats because I am a cat – no way, that’s a major amount of energy. I have enlisted help – 3 kittens rescued from a building site. Well, let me tell you, I have them right where I want them. Doing all the work and I get all the glory. Awesome. I am trying to teach them to deliver rats to me directly thereby allowing less of my precious energy to be wasted chasing the silly things around.
Last weekend we had a horse show here. It was great. The usual human madness. Why would you jump over a pole when there is a perfectly good way around it……………..you won’t believe this but when the odd sensible horse went around the jump, the human fell off. What a strange way to behave! Even stranger, there were children running up and down the indoor school on and off ponies. At one stage they stick their heads in water and then stuck it into flour and picked up a carrot in their mouth. I attach a photo to prove it. I wouldn’t work that hard for the fattest rat in the world. Actually, I didn’t have to work at all – I curled my way around humans feet and managed to pick up sausages all day. Roll on the next show.
The other photos here are of William. He got bitten by a fly and he had an allergic reaction. His muzzle grew to 3 times its’ normal size. His whole body was covered in lumps. It was seriously funny as he wasn’t in any pain but he looked like his nose belonged to Big Ben!
If you have any good photos from the show, please send them.
Got to go, the kittens have arrived.

Competition time
5 OctSorry I haven’t been in touch. Things have been quite hectic since I last wrote to you. I cannot even begin to tell you how busy I have (supposed) to have been. We have had a lot of yummy visitors recently – rats!!! This is because all us cats have decided that it is so much more comfortable over near the office – who wants to race around working for their dinner when we can get humans to do everything? Anyway because we are so lazy we have to put up with some new babies – 3 6 month old kittens are arriving. They are not hanging out on our turf – we have life sorted – sleep, yawn, walk around the office once, eat, sleep, eat, sleep, yawn, eat, sleep, eat, eat, eat, sleep. I say, let the new kids on the block do the work and stay on their side of the fence working their way to the top like we had to.
Apparently it is competition season again. We have a horse show on 22nd October which I hope to see all my favorite people at. It is always great fun – l love seeing those instructors running up and down all day. Ringo, Richie, Henry and Antonio are off to Bea’s River this weekend to do some competing. Somewhat strangely they jump over things (odd as there is always a way around…) and then they do this dance around a square – it’s called dressage and they have to follow a test. There are letters in a rectangle arena and they are in the weirdest order – AKEHCMBF – there is a rhyme so you can remember it easily – A(ll)-K(ing)-E(ward’s)-H(orses)-C(an)-M(ake)-B(ig)-F(ences). Way too much hard work if you ask me.
Anyway, make sure you all come and see me on 22nd and win lots of rosettes. I have put some pictures of Maggie and Al jumping last season – see what I mean – they go over the top when there is loads of room to go around.
Till next time.
