I’m sorry

20 Dec

I am so sorry to have been so useless and not been in touch. The place has been chaotic.

First we had this very strange man who says he whispers to horses. I thought that this was super strange. I looked and listened (obviously, I had to listen quite hard) – and it was amazing. I learnt that horses need a dominant ‘horse’ in their lives. They need to feel that there is someone looking out for them. In the wild, for instance, there is always a horse on the lookout for danger. He doesn’t sleep but the others will then lie down knowing that there is somone looking out for them. When horses have be domesticated, they need to know that someone is looking after them. If not, they are on edge all the time and therefore very sensitive. This is why some horses are hard to groom – this is why the humans need to become the non-aggressive leader. Ask Nicky or one of the instrcutors to show you how cool the horses and ponies are with their magic headcollar on. They are all super excited about this and it seems the horses are a lot happier.

This week is camp
